CivicPlay was founded to empower East Multnomah County through accessible recreation, civic engagement, and initiatives that build a stronger, healthier community.
For decades, East Multnomah County has been underserved. Despite having the highest concentration of poverty in Oregon, our community has been left with inadequate parks, limited open spaces, and few recreational opportunities.
Economic challenges have also made it difficult for many residents to take active roles in local leadership and government, often leaving our voices unheard when important decisions are made.
CivicPlay is here to change that. By partnering with community organizations, we aim to shift this dynamic by empowering people to shape their future and increasing access to both civic participation and recreational resources for all.
